Send an SMS Booking Link

Tool name: bookingLink

Description: Use this to send a SMS booking link to the caller when they request an appointment.

Properties:

• name - caller’s name
• phone - caller’s phone number
• reason - reason for the appointment

Call Transfers to Multiple Team Members

Tool name: transferCall

1. Copy the JSON script from the resources and replace the details marked in red.
2. Go to Postman.com
3. Create a new POST Request: https://api.vapi.ai/tool
4. Select Body > Raw > JSON
5. Paste in the call transfer script into Postman
6. Select Authorization > Bearer Token
7. Go back to your Vapi Dashboard and click on your email in the bottom right corner.
8. Select API keys > Copy the private API ID
9. Go back to Postman and paste this ID into the Token field
10. Click Send and you should get a 201 message to say that the tool is created
11. Go back to Vapi > tools and make sure its there.

Taking Messages For Team Members

Tool name: forwardMessage

Description: The forwardMessage tool automatically forwards caller details to the designated team member using the Make.com scenario.

Properties:

• name - caller’s name
• phone - caller’s phone number
• message - the message they would like to leave for a member of the team
• recipient - who the caller would like to speak with, Anna or David
